is the grandson of Leekya Deyuse and the son of
Francis Leekya

Hayes, along with brothers Delvin and
Freddie and nephew
Bryson Bobelu
are the modern
day custodians of the Leekya Deyuse carving legacy.
Hayes Leekya
was recently featured in the New Mexico State
Magazine, which is the oldest state published magazine
(82 years) in the United States.
